Job Description
The Assistant Security Shift Manager assists in the supervision of the security department for a shift. Schedules Team Members and assigns tasks. Being an Assistant Security Shift Manager goes on patrol and assists the department in ensuring that the property is secure and safe for all visitors and Team Members.
Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:
- Verify shift personnel are clocked in and ready to work and clocked out at the end of the shift.
- Confirm all special assignments are being worked on and are completed.
- Review all reports prior to the end of your shift.
- Walk the floor to confirm personnel are in place.
- Teach the new hire training classes when needed.
- Perform the functions of the Security Shift Manager when needed.
- Brief the Security Shift Manager on all information provided by Security Officers.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:
- Working knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- Ability to successfully complete a physical agility test.
- Ability to successfully pass the departments approved defensive tactics course
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel).
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to successfully mentor a team.
Preferred
- Previous experience working in large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education And Experience
- At least four years of previous experience in Security, law enforcement, military or in a similar or related field.
- At least two years of previous Security Management experience in a similar or related field.
- Must be 21 years of age
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Position required licenses to include:
- Gaming License, TAM Card, Driver’s License

- Ability to work in an office setting and to walk on the casino/tower floors at times
- Ability to successfully complete a physical agility test.
