Job Description

The Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Licensing & Investigations team within the Compliance Department in ensuring daily compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Compliance Analyst provides support to the Senior Compliance Analyst in managing Compliance department needs related to licensing and investigations. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for performing due diligence investigations of vendors, third parties, employees, and customers in accordance with standard operating procedures within Resorts World Las Vegas’ compliance program. The successful candidate is someone who has strong interpersonal skills and thrives in a dynamic work environment.

Primary Job Duties: Includes, but is not limited to:

  • Perform comprehensive due diligence investigations, access multiple sources of information, analyze public and internal records to determine impact on suitability, and prepare reports with supporting documentation to articulate risk mitigation recommendations for conducting business or employment with the Company.
  • Conduct public information searches to verify information for investigations and licensing of businesses conducted by the Company and third parties at Resorts World Las Vegas.
  • Develop plan, system of record keeping, and provide assistance to the Senior Compliance Analyst with audits of business activities on property.
  • Monitor, track, and prioritize investigations on vendors, employees, and third parties.
  • Develop and maintain solid knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices, related to third-party transactions, licensing, and due diligence.
  • Collaborate with operational and Compliance team members to assist in daily compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate wire transactions to confirm creditworthiness and suitability.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours to observe operations of the business which span 24 hours and 7 days per week.

Qualifications: — Includes, but is not limited to:

  • Applying learnings from Nevada gaming laws and regulations and Clark County ordinances.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to acquire & maintain comprehensive knowledge of company and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred

 

  • Previous experience working in a casino/gaming environment.
  • Knowledge of various resources for obtaining public information, including social media and international sources.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and adept interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate across the enterprise.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in compliance, legal, cage/credit, or risk management in gaming.
  • Knowledge of Nevada gaming regulations, licensing requirements, and third-party investigations processes as it pertains to the casino/gaming industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Minimum Education And Experience

 

  • At least one year of compliance experience in the gaming/casino industry or corporate investigations.
  • At least three years of experience in the gaming/casino industry in cage/credit, fraud, internal audit, or operations department.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

 

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Position required licenses include Nevada Gaming Employee Registration.
