Reports To: Assistant Director, People Systems and Analytics
Job Description The Total Rewards Manager leads the design, implementation, governance, and optimization of compensation and benefits programs to attract, engage, and retain talent. This role owns compensation strategy (base pay, pay bands, market benchmarking, incentive programs), benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, ancillary), compliance (ACA, ERISA, ADA, HIPAA), and Workers’ Compensation oversight.

Location In-person in Las Vegas, NV, 89109: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain pay bands/grade structures, job families, and salary ranges using market data to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Lead annual merit increase and performance review cycle.
- Partner with stakeholders and senior leadership to design and update bonus and incentive structure with measurable performance goal metrics.
- Conduct compensation benchmarking using comp survey tools and data sources; prepare comp-to-market analyses, compa-ratio and pay-equity reviews.
- Support org design changes and new role creation impacted by expansion.
- Assist Talent and HR team on offers, promotions, pay actions, and retention strategies.
- Oversee benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, HSA, life/AD&D, disability, EAP, wellness, 401K).
- Manage the Open Enrollment process, plan design recommendations, employee communications, vendor and broker coordination, testing, and post-implementation validation.
- Analyze enrollment, cost trends, and plan performance, model plan design changes and cost structure.
- Utilizing the HRIS system to maintain benefits eligibility rules, waiting periods, qualified life event processing, and leave coordination.
- Lead ACA compliance (1094/1095-C reporting, measurement/stability periods, affordability calculations); ensure accurate data and timely filings.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ADA, COBRA, and applicable state/federal regulations; maintain plan documents and summary plan descriptions (SPDs).
- Oversee Workers’ Compensation processes: claim intake, carrier liaison, OSHA recordkeeping, return-to-work/modified duty programs; monitor loss trends and premium impacts.
- Complete annual 5500 filings
- Build dashboards and models for compensation analytics (range utilization, compa-ratio, pay equity, turnover-risk, incentive payout forecasting).
- SME for systems related to HRIS/Payroll/Ben Admin systems; drive automation, configuration updates, and integrations (e.g., eligibility exports, file feeds).
Skills / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- 5+ years in Total Rewards/Compensation & Benefits with demonstrated experience in:
- Compensation design and analysis (market pricing, pay bands, merit cycles).
- Benefits administration and ACA compliance.
- Workers’ Compensation Oversight.
- Bonus/incentive plan design.
- Benchmarking using market surveys (e.g., Mercer, Radford, Willis Towers Watson, Culpepper).
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and HR systems (ADP, Paychex, Radford, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical, modeling, and storytelling skills; ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Airflow, Python, SQL, Power Query, and Power BI is desired.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time throughout shift.
- Ability to use hands to handle objects, tools, and to operate a computer.
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs. without assistance and 50 lbs. with assistance.
